Why we built Nestie
Playdough has prepared tax returns for New Zealanders for years. We kept seeing the same thing: landlords putting off a rental return because they didn't know what it would cost, what they needed, or how long it would take. So we built Nestie, the same chartered accountants, the same care, but with a fixed price shown upfront and a process you can finish from your couch in about ten minutes.
How the work actually gets done
Behind the smooth, mostly-automated experience, the routine preparation is streamlined so it's fast and affordable, but a qualified chartered accountant reviews and files every return, and a return is never filed without a human checking it. If something in your file raises a question, a real person asks it. You're never left alone with a form, and you're never handed to a bot.
